FAQ's and Useful Information for Guardians

Updated: Jul 15, 2022

The recruitment process

Working as a Kids guardian is not just a job, it's more like getting up to smile each day from the laughter and joy on the children's faces.

The steps to becoming a guardian are as follows:

1. Apply for a position with us via email or typeform on the website.

2. A pre-screening will be sent over to you - This includes some childcare questions.

3. If you have been shortlisted, you will be invited into the office for an interview.

You will be asked to bring your documentation such as your DBS, passport, driver's licence, proof of address, MOT certificate, and national insurance documents.

If you do not currently have a DBS you will need to bring your ID documentation to the office before processing the DBS. (A mobile phone bill cannot be used as proof of address/ID).

A driver's licence check and right to work in the UK check will be carried out at this point.

Our address - Deronda Community Hall, Jarrett Close, SW2 3DG.

A picture of you will be taken at the office for your ID badge, so please wear a white t-shirt.

4. If you have been successful, we will invite you back into the office to complete an application form and fill out your references. You will also complete two online training courses (Safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid).

Once all these steps have been completed, you will be ready to start with the family. A meet and greet will further be arranged.
